The Christchurch Motorway Half Marathon has an amazing course with no vehicles, that allows runners and walkers (or a hybrid) to concentrate. You will be able to see vehicles racing past on the motorway as you enjoy the relaxing fast-flat course.

The event caters for all levels of fitness - whether you're a beginner or an elite runner - over three distances (5km, 10km or 21km). There will also be 2km Kidz Dash.

Date: Sunday 1st March 2026.
Start Time: 8.30am for all walkers and all hybrid competitors. 9am for runners and 9.10am for the Kidz Dash. A briefing will be held at least 5 minutes beforehand.
Start Location: Canterbury Agricultural Park (Curletts Road, Hillmorton).
Cost: From $59 for runners and walkers aged 13 years and over. $30 for children (7 to 12 years). A late fee applies to entries received after Sunday 22nd February 2026.

A virtual option is also available for all events - $35 per person.
