Run Akaroa
This event delivers one of the most breathtaking courses in New Zealand, tracing the rim of an ancient volcano. Four distances are available - all finishing at the Akaroa Domain:
- Akaroa Marathon: A 42.2km run starting on the Summit Road (18 years +);
- Akaroa Half: A 21km run or walk starting on the Summit Road above Little Akaloa (14 years +);
- Akaroa 10K: A 10km run or walk starting on the Summit Road above Le Bons Bay (10 years + with a recommendation that those under 12 are accompanied by an adult);
- Kids Dash: A 1km run or walk for 12 years and under around the Akaroa Domain. Parents are welcome to join their kids.
Date: Sunday 17th May 2026.
Start Time: 9.30am for the marathon, 10am for half marathon and 10km events, and 2.30pm for the Kids Dash. Race briefing will be held 15 minutes before each event except for the Kids Dash.
Finish Location: Akaroa Domain.
Cost: A late fee applies to all entries received after midnight on Sunday 10th May 2026 if spaces are available.
- Marathon: $185 per person.
- Half Marathon: $135 per person.
- 10km: $80 per person.
- Kids Dash: $15 per person.
